THE WOOL AND HAIR PESTICIDE DATABASE

Allied to many of its activities ENco maintains a wool pesticides database by analysing representative samples of wool and hair from both major and minor producing countries. The database is updated annually and includes information on the organochlorine, orgonophosphate and synthetic pyrethroid pesticide content of fibre from more than forty countries.

These data are used by wool and hair scourers and other textile wet processors to control their raw material quality and minimise the release of pesticides.

All members of the ENco Networks and many fibre importers who contribute to its upkeep have access to this valuable resource.
