REGULATORY IMPACT ASSESSMENT

ENco works to identify and solve environmental problems in the textile industry, through its regulatory and technical activities. The interaction between these two activities is important, as it is easier to contribute to the regulatory process from a position of technical strength. Similarly, technical effort can only be properly targeted with intimate knowledge of current and future legislation.

ENco keeps abreast of current and developing legislation in the UK and Europe and then judges its potential effect on business.

ENco's detailed knowledge of the industry, the sewerage systems and the river catchments into which textile effluents are discharged enable us to negotiate effectively with the water industry and regulators.

ENco staff serve on a wide variety of committees and technical working groups covering all production and environment related matters.

ENco provides early input to consultation with UK government and EC directorates on all environment related matters.
