Our services include:
- Identifying textile education and training & development needs.
- Formulating strategies and policies to support identified industry objectives.
- Representing industry training interests to Government Departments, Learning and Skills Councils, Local Enterprise Company (LEC) networks and Sector Skills Councils.
- Engaging in a consultative process to give members an opportunity to present views on likely impact of training and development issues.
- Involved in the developing of National Occupational Standards (e.g. National/Scottish Vocational Qualifications)
- Promoting the introduction of National/Scottish Vocational Qualifications into individual companies
- Management of industry skills and education projects.
- The creation of www.cbwt-learning.co.uk in support of pre-16 learning in schools and colleges
